United States of Tara: This show is about a wife and mother of two, dealing with dissociative identity disorder. Despite its heavy plot, the show is very lighthearted and funny. Toni Collette does a really great job at portraying a series of different personalities. The episodes are short but extremely addictive!
Mad Men: This show is a drama that takes place primarily in the 1960's during the "Mad Men" era, otherwise known as the men who worked in advertising on Madison Avenue. It is extremely well done and who doesn't love a good dose of Jon Hamm? I need to catch up on the last couple of seasons, especially since the series just ended!
LOST: So I don't no about all of you, but I was late to the LOST game. Very late. Needless to say I had a solid five months of binge watching all six seasons on Netflix. This show was way ahead of its time and you really get emotionally attached to a lot of the characters. It is compiled of many interesting fantasies and fears, all beginning with a plane crash and how the survivors attempt to live with one another on one crazy island.
The Fall: Two words, serial killer. Thats all I need hear in order to give a show a chance. When my mom told me about this show, I decided to give it a go since there was only one season out so far. This show is a BBC series that takes place in Northern Ireland where a senior police officer has set off to investigate a string of serial murders in Belfast, Ireland. Gillian Anderson (the detective) and Jamie Dornan (the serial killer) are phenomenal in this crime drama, and I cannot wait for the new season to come out!
Weeds: This is a show that I am pretty sure everyone has seen. It is one of those shows where I can go back and re-watch episode after episode. Nancy Botwin plays a California mother of two, who sells marajuana for a living. Although the later seasons started to get pretty crazy, this show is still one of my all time favorites.
Prison Break: A friend of mine suggested this show to me when I was trying to find something that would keep me entertained for a while. Prison Break is just that. The four season show is about two brothers, one in prison on death row, and the other who gets thrown in prison in order to break them both out. Full of suspense, political conspiracies, and mastermind plans, this show is a great watch.
Breaking Bad: Hands down, one of the best shows to come on television in my opinion. This show is about a chemistry teacher, husband and father who is diagnosed with terminal cancer and decides to make crystal meth out of an RV to pay for the hefty bills. The characters and intensity of the story really makes you want to keep watching. I am almost at that point where I can begin to re watch the seasons, but in the meantime, I need to start on the prequel, Better Call Saul!
Nip/Tuck: This show is for those who are fascinated by the plastic surgery world. Set in Miami and later in LA, this show follows the lives of two handsome plastic surgeons and the drama involved with their patients, families and romantic endeavors. This one will also keep you entertained for a while since there is six seasons with over 20 episode per season!
Would love to know of any other addictive dramas/comedys/sitcoms you know of!
