I have been MIA lately, partly because work has been crazy x 1000, and I participated in the Canne Advertising Contest this year, which consumed a couple weeks as well! Needless to say, March was my birthday month and thanks to Cris, I got to ring in my 26th year of life in New Orleans! I have never been and was looking forward to this trip for a long time since we had one thing to accomplish while we were there....EAT! We stayed for a long weekend and had 3 full days to explore and eat more food than we thought we could consume. A bunch of people had been asking me for all the places we went to for their future trips to the city so I thought I would write about where we ate. This is what we squeezed in however there are a TON more restaurants and bars on our list for next time!Read More
Happy Friday everyone! Here is another one of my strange movie picks for the weekend! Mr.Nobody an interesting one that I stumbled across on Netflix. The cast is amazing, Jared Leto and Diane Kruger, and the concept is very cool. Taking place in 2092, Jared Leto is the oldest living mortal in the distant future on planet earth. He begins to reflect on the different lives he may or may not have led, and becomes extremely confused when recalling his memories at such an old age. The movie is beautifully shot and really keeps you entertained throughout, despite the fact that it is 2 hours and 37 minutes. It explores the whole "what if" idea which I am sure we have all had at one time or another. Check out the trailer below!Read More

So if you know me, or have lived with me at any point (wassssup CAT & SEEMA) you know that I love finding those weird, satirical, and sometimes disturbing movies. My roommate had given me the synopsis to this movie last night as I was cooking and asked if I was interested in watching it. Although the description was vague, it sounded intriguing to me. Apart from the beautiful movie poster design, gorgeous cinematography and great cast, the movie had some interesting metaphors happening when it came to anything and everything relationships. I have put the trailer below and some amazing shots from this film to give you an idea of what this movie is all about! I am going to try and feature a new movie I have found & watched (or in this case my roommate had found, thanks Seems!) that is not your traditional Hollywood happy ending film. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!Read More
When I first moved to the city, I felt that I needed to find another passion outside of what I was doing for a living. I learned that there was a hip hop class right across the street from my office, so I jumped at the chance to get back into dance, something I hadn't really done since middle school. Fast forward two years, and I am now an addict. I started following my dance teacher, Rachel, all around the city because of her amazing her teaching style, music that never disappointed, and an amazing energy that I have not experienced with any other fitness instructor.Read More
I can't believe that Christmas is only two days away! The past few weeks at work have been totally insane and I am so excited to be able to take the next ten days off to relax with family and friends. Between getting gifts for everyone, Birthday celebrations, and never ending pitches, I have finally reached the home stretch! I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday and an even better New Year. I have started to make my New Years Resolutions, however I have to start tailoring them to become a little more specific so that I actually stick to them!Read More
I am always asked to participate in a few White Elephant gift exchanges during the holidays. Living in NYC, I am always looking for ways to save as much money as possible. Even mundane things likes toilet paper and clean supplies can cost a small fortune at Duane Reade or any of the grocery stores in the city. I have found two stores that I always go to for household items, various groceries and other random things I need in my life.Read More

My sister, Gillian, was the one who turned me on to Vaalbara Designs that are all handmade in LA, California. The company is run by the nicest couple, and I was fortunate enough to meet Emily at a flea market in Martha's Vineyard this summer. Their company not only makes beautiful bags, blankets, wallets and jewelry, but they also pride themselves on creating a line of sustainable products. In addition, a portion of all their sales goes to the Surf Rider Foundation which is dedicated to keeping beaches and oceans clean! They have amazing designs and great variety, as well as free domestic shipping!Read More

Cris and I see a lot of movies in theaters together, and we are usually in consensus when it comes to evaluating how good the movie was. We have seen quite a few this month, however there are two that net out as my all time favorites (and cris's too). From great acting to amazing cinematography and music, these two are must-sees!Read More
